How do I store my Leafy Greens?
One of the biggest contributors to wilting and aging in vegetables (especially leafy greens) is loss of moisture. The air in your refrigerator tends to be very dry so higher moisture things like Kale, Spinach, or Lettuce are best stored in high moisture places like a Crisper/Vegetable bin. If your refrigerator is not equipped with a crisper/vegetable bin then we recommend that you use a plastic bag or container with some holes or opening to minimize the moisture loss and wilting (just make sure that they have a slight opening in them so the activated oxygen will get in the bag). You can also use a wet paper towel, sponge, or mist to add moisture.
Is my BerryBreeze safe?
YES the BerryBreeze™ is safe, we do not produce measurable levels of activated oxygen (ozone) in the refrigerator because the activated oxygen (ozone) demand of food products in the refrigerator instantly neutralizes any activated oxygen (ozone) produced.
Do I keep my fresh produce in bags?
NO, After activating the BerryBreeze™ unit your refrigerator transforms to an almost perfect environment. Therefore, there is no need for plastic bags or containers when storing your fresh produce. Actually, we prefer that you either place your produce in the appropriate bins and store them in their native or natural state. *However, leafy vegetables such as Kale, Spinach, and Lettuce are high moisture vegetables and therefore benefit more from humid environments such as your vegetable bin/crisper. If your refrigerator is not equipped with a vegetable bin/crisper then we suggest you place your leafy vegetables in a plastic bag (with holes) or covered with a moist paper towel. You may also mist as needed.
How long will my BerryBreeze last?
If our present experience is any indication, forever. Okay, we're exaggerating of course, but we do have units at headquarters that are still going strong after five years of use, and they don't show signs of tapping out any time soon. Does the BerryBreeze come with a warranty?
Yes, we offer a full one-year warranty on the BerryBreeze™ Fridge Freshener. If for some reason you experience a problem with the product, simply contact us and we’ll be happy to help. We’ll even replace your unit free of charge. That said, we don’t expect you to have any problems. We've only ever seen one unit break at headquarters – and that was because it was run over by a delivery truck!
